A mechdeck specification lives in the mechanical services tender pack. This is the skeleton — copy it, delete the sections that don't apply, add project-specific values.
1. Scope
Supply, fabricate, deliver and install rooftop mechanical platform(s) as shown on the drawings. Includes structural deck, screens, guardrails, access, and all fixings.
2. Materials
Structural: Zincalume-coated steel to AS 1397. Non-structural framing and screens: aluminium extrusion. Fixings: substrate-matched (metal deck screws / concrete anchors).
3. Compliance
All guardrails to AS/NZS 1657. Live load to project structural spec. Wind loading to AS/NZS 1170.2.
4. Deliverables
Shop drawings, BOQ, cut list, load path verification, handover pack.
